How it all began:

In fall of 2008 a small group of volunteers met on the topic of putting together a charity motorcycle ride to benefit charities having a focus on the law enforcement community.  With strong dedication and hard work by the team, Cops Ride LLC was born and so was our annual event.

In June 2009, our inaugural ride attracted motorcyclists from all over northern Ohio.  This great success enabled us to donate $15,000 to Ohio C.O.P.S.  Ohio Concerns of Police Survivors, Inc. provides resources to assist in the rebuilding of the lives of surviving families and affected co-workers of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty as determined by Federal criteria.

After a short summer recess, the team reconvened in the fall 2009. This time we knew what it would take to put on an event of this nature and focused on fine tuning the experience for our riders.  It was decided that The Greater Cleveland Police Officers Memorial Society would be the beneficiary of our second ride.  GCPOMS  was a gracious host and strong contributor to our first ride.  It was fitting to return the favor.  In June of 2010, our second ride afforded us the ability to donate $10,000 to GCPOMS.

Funds we have raised:

In 2011, proceeds went to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and then in 2012, Ohio C.O.P.S.  We have continued to rotate the beneficiary with these three worthy police memorial organizations.
